About RainSaver Harvesting

We're a Local Rain Water Collecting System Company That Knows the Hill Country

Decades of Experience Installing Rainwater Harvesting Systems in Central Texas

Owner Tom Nelson and his son, Colton, manage and operate RainSaver Harvesting. RSH is a locally based rainwater collection company in the Texas Hill Country that provides turnkey rainwater collection services.

Tom brings over 30 years of experience in Central Texas construction to each custom project. The goal is to create the highest quality collection systems that capture and repurpose more rainwater. RainSaver Harvesting specializes in “dry” in-ground rainwater collection systems. With this type of system the pipes drain after a rainfall event, reducing the risk of freezing and cracking. All rainwater collection systems also include an in-ground "First-Flush Diverter" enabling the owner to wash out debris and organic buildup in between rainfall events.

How To Collect Rainwater

More About RainSaver Harvesting

RainSaver Harvesting specializes in rainwater collection ins

tallations also known as rainwater harvesting systems.

In Texas, a state that knows sweltering weather, droughts and the importance of conservation all too well, water supp

ly can be an issue. And when supply is low that means water costs are high. It also means that the vegetation and wildlife suffer.

For our clients, a rainwater harvesting system is an investment that can save more than it will cost, especially when you consider the other important benefits. Collecting rainwater improves the sustainability of homes and businesses in more than one way. When rainwater harvesting happens on your property you're less reliant on the municipal water supply for things like landscape irrigation and even drinking water. There's also no concern over how water was treated and what it may contain. Plus, you're helping reduce municipal water use in general, which helps conserve a precious resource.

Our Rainwater Collection System Tanks

After being collected, the water is kept in a metal storage tank equipped with a food grade NSF-61 Bartlett Tank Liner. These metal rainwater tanks are made of G90 galvanized metal. It may not be the most technical part of the rainwater collection system, but the tank is extremely important when it comes to water quality and what it can be used for.

At RainSaver Harvesting all the components of our Rainwater Collection systems are well-constructed right down to the cistern! We use Aqualine Water Tanks for our rain harvesting systems to ensure the best water quality possible.

We enable homeowners and businesses to capture rainwater in volumes ranging 1,500 - 65,000 gallons of stored rainwater.
