Rain Water Collecting System Projects
Discover How a Rain Collection System is Constructed by the RainSaver Harvesting Crew
See what goes into constructing rainwater harvesting systems! You can see our crew in action as we help clients capture rainwater. From installing a locally-made rainwater storage tank to digging trenches for underground piping, you can find out what happens at different stages in the process.
Conveyance Piping
Conveyance piping gives you more opportunities to collect rainwater by directing as much of the collected rainwater from your home's roof surface to the tank for later use. Although it's called conveyance piping, it's really a system of gutters, downspouts and pipes that work together so that rainwater becomes clean drinking water instead of stormwater runoff.
Pump & Filter System installations
Harvested rainwater can be used for many more purposes when there's an expertly crafted pump and filter system. Any rainwater collection system, even rain barrels, can provide non-potable water for things like irrigation and landscaping. A RainSaver Harvesting system is able to collect rainwater for anything you'd use municipal water for - brush your teeth, bathe and drink a glass of your own harvested rainwater!
We use a multi-layer approach for water filtration often using screens, a first flush diverter, filters and UV light. Our filter system not only gives you a clean water supply, we construct them so that they are easily accessible and it's easier to monitor your rainwater collection system. Better water quality with less work!
